The application is for up to 4 wind turbines producing 5.2 megawatts of electricity. It would supply clean energy to the equivalent of at least 4,000 homes.

The Pendragon Fach site was chosen for a number of reasons.  These include its very windy nature (being one of the best in South Wales), remote distance from residents, good access and available electricity grid connection.  The opportunity to provide community benefit results from the good wind resource at this site.  PWEV will commit via a legal agreement to provide between £20,000 and £30,000 to two Trusts (one for North and one for South Ebbw Fach) each year of the project life, the money split equally between the trust funds to be set up.  These trust funds would be managed by local representatives and company employees.
